Londonís Millennium projects. Hit or miss?

London Eye
[Hit]
Initially a poor spectacle, but now a dazzling and long-sighted success.

Millennium Bridge
[Miss]
A shimmering wobbly blade of light, opened and closed in one weekend. Nearly Londonís newest thrill ride, but instead became an unmitigated engineering embarrassment.

Tate Modern
[Hit]
It was an insane idea to put a huge collection of top quality modern art inside an old converted power station. However, like all the best insane ideas, it works absolutely brilliantly.

Jubilee Line Extension
[Hit+Miss]
The stations have won numerous design awards, but the trains make funny braking noises and the revolutionary signalling is always breaking down. Londonís newest but most unreliable tube line.

The Dome
[Miss]
Londonís largest empty space. See the next pageÖ
